Now it is clear there was something going on, that nobody told you about when your father left home. “Words are like friends now” she said “cos they can be cruel, hard to decipher at times, but oh yes they can be true, if you want them to be”. 
“You light up my life with your smile” she said, “because that's how I feel and don't believe all that I say” she said “because nothing is real”.
You knew then that something was wrong, when you came home late that night and noticed his car had now gone and with it all of the reasons why.
Sometimes when you hear your own voice, it reminds you of him. You don't want to make the mistakes that he made but you fear that you will.
